Upgrade Your Old Exhibits

Upgrade Your Old Exhibits With A Model Makeover

If you already have your own model or exhibit we may be able to help.  Maybe it was made some time ago using fairly primitive techniques, or maybe it just didn’t seem to attract any attention because it looked lifeless and boring.  We are offering a unique service that can not only restore your tired, elderly exhibit but actually upgrade it to the standards required by an increasingly discerning public.
Tight budgets and dwindling visitor numbers are a big problem for the heritage sector, so if you cant afford to purchase a brand new exhibit, but really want to add a new refreshing dimension to your tourist offering, please let us know.  If you look carefully at the exhibits section on this site you can see the texture and colour, the detail and the realism.  We can apply those same techniques to your display.  We could do this on site, or if possible, remove it to our premises.  We are entirely confident that whatever we do for you with this service will exceed your expectations, and give many more years of visual  pleasure to your paying customers.
Please feel free to give us a call and see if we can help.

Museum gift shop experience

A visit to the gift shop is, or should be one of the high spots of any visitor attraction.  In a way it is a celebration of the day, a way to purchase a momento mori of the occasion, for themselves or for an absent  friend or relation, with whom they wish to share the moment with.  Sadly however this can also be the low spot of the visit. What should be an Aladins cave of quality gifts with a direct association with the place itself, is in reality nothing more than a poorly presented bargain basement of cheap imported tat, with hugely inflated prices.  Mostly these items have absolutely nothing in common with the theme of the visit.

History Maker is committed to changing that, we want the heritage tourist to be thoroughly spoiled with a real treat at the end of the day.  Really, we want the museum gift shop to be an attraction in it’s own right.  We want this so that the visitor will remember their day and share that memory with others, who in their turn will want to visit your attraction.

Your story is being told again and again.  We can supply an amazing variety of truly impressive and authentic medieval memorabilia.  Our products of exceptional quality and are made by real craftsmen, using the original patterns and construction techniques that they would have used in the past.

These replicas are celebrations of the past and will have the power to bring that past right into the purchasers own living room every time they are handled or viewed.

Museum Models

These are History Makers primary focus.  If you view our galleries and read the introduction’s you will get an idea of the quality and the design we are capable of achieving.
If there is anything that you would like us to do to further, or enhance your heritage endeavours, big or small, we would love to hear your ideas.  Interestingly the heritage sector is seeing a massive growth in investment both public and private.  These investments are an indicator of the importance that the nation gives to it’s heritage sites, that are truly of world significance.  We agree with them, that this is a real opportunity to further develop, promote and regenerate those treasures of national patrimony for the future generations.

Design Services

We offer, and have experience in the following services, although we would consider any request no matter how simple and small or large and complicated.  As a miniature artist my primary occupation would be creating historical figurines, mainly in 28mm scale but I have tackled up to 60mm.  So if you want custom made one offs or multiples to populate your exhibit, we can produce characters through to whole armies, civilians and livestock.  We of course also specialise in the creation of miniature historical buildings in the same scale as our figurines.

We can also produce landscape scenes with or without buildings, to promote your area of interest, we can even produce a three dimensional model of your own cottage and its setting.
We feel confident that no matter what your specifications we can create something that not only matches, but exceeds your expectations.  We can cast in resin, pewter or white metal anything you may have in mind including museum merchandise, painted or unpainted.  Currently we are also researching into the possibility of producing museum quality historical costumes.

So again, we invite you to share your ideas with us.
We look forward to hearing from you.
